The UeiDaq framework comes with an excel add-in providing full access to the capabilities of PowerDAQ PCI/PXI data acquisition cards and PowerDNA cubes. It allows engineers to send out control signals and read back results of analog or digital readings in a very user-friendly environment. Further, with the assistance of Visual Basic for Applications, a standard component in Excel, engineers can create sophisticated test routines based on PowerDAQ hardware. Excel add-in also lets engineers to set up triggering and other control operations as well as import individual samples or even large waveforms directly into an Excel worksheet.

The UeiDaq Framework, included in PowerDAQ and PowerDNA Software Suites, comes with an extension module (driver) for DASYLab to easily interface your DASYLab worksheet with UEI data acquisition devices. The DASYLab driver for PowerDAQ/PowerDNA provides a flexible and powerful interface to state-of-the art PowerDAQ DSP-based PCI and PXI data acquisition boards and Ethernet-based PowerDNA Cubes.

The DASYLab driver for PowerDAQ PCI and PXI cards provides complete support for acquisition speeds up to 3 MS/s, from 16 to 64 channels, 12-, 14-, or 16-bit resolution and extensive analog triggering. The driver supports analog output, digital I/O and 82C54-based counter/timer operations. DASYLab driver also allows you to work directly with PowerDNA Cubes in the same manner as you can do with PowerDAQ PCI and PXI cards.

The DASYLab driver for PowerDAQ/PowerDNA installs as an integral part of the DASYLab application - all the configuration settings can be accessed through the DASYLab menu. One of the major advantages of the DASYLab driver for PowerDAQ/PowerDNA is ability to acquire data from multiple devices at a time. On top of that, our DASYLab driver provides virtualized data acquisition device which allows you to start programming your application without having actual hardware.

The UeiDaq Framework comes with an adaptor for the MATLAB Data Acquisition Toolbox to easily interface your MATLAB program with UEI data acquisition devices. It provides a complete set of tools for analog input, analog output, and digital I/O. The toolbox lets you configure your external hardware devices, read data into MATLAB for immediate analysis, and send out data.

OPC Servers are hardware drivers that are written to a common standard - OPC or "OLE for Process Control". The standard defines method for exchanging realtime automation data among PC-based clients using Microsoft operating systems. The application of the OPC standard interface makes possible interoperability between automation/control applications, field systems/devices etc.

The UeiDaq Framework comes with an OPC server to interface OPC client such as HMI software with UEI data acquisition devices. The OPC server is compliant with the OPC DA (data access) 2.0 specification.
