General Description
The DNA-GPS provides an easy way to get position and UTC time directly from the GPS satellite network. In addition, the DNA-GPS provides a 1 PPS (Pulse Per Second) signal that is accurate to within 1 microsecond of actual UTC. This signal makes it easy to synchronize cubes whether that are across the room or across the continent.
The DNA-GPS plugs directly into a serial port on the DNA-SL-501 without the need for custom wiring. The system also provides a screw terminal and BNC interface to the 1 PPS signal allowing the unit to easily provide sync signals to external devices.
