Director Of Sales, NA

Founded in 1990, UEI has experienced tremendous growth over recent years and is looking for an experienced, strategic, hands-on salesperson to lead UEI’s nationwide sales team. Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales is responsible for all the sales activities in the US & Canada territory. You will be a part of the strategic team and help create, implement and execute sales initiatives that drive results. The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader with exceptional leadership skills to continue to grow the sales team throughout North America.

This is a full-time position working out of our Walpole, MA headquarters where frequent travel to customers is required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve long-term, sustained, significant and measurable business growth.
  • Coach, develop and motivate the RSMs in your territory to maximize sales including setting goals and objectives for the sales team.
  • Assist HR with recruiting, developing and retaining a high-performance sales team anywhere in the US, as well as internationally.
  • Lead and direct sales account activities, including actively selling UEI’s products and routinely visiting key accounts.
  • Lead quarterly sales meetings at company headquarters as an opportunity for territory planning and identifying what you need to succeed including team-building exercises for the UEI sales team.
  • Provide feedback to Management on customer needs, market opportunities and product road-maps.
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure effective generation of sales leads.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical sales including prior sales management experience
  • Hands-on technical background, with BSEE preferred
  • Domain experience in a DAQ, embedded control, test & measurement or closely related field
  • Requires frequent travel to customers, as this is a customer-facing position
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information
  • Desire to be hands-on and get things done
  • Desire to be a team player and work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed with new technologies and systems
  • Must be able to work unrestricted in the US
