Electronics Repair Technician

We are looking for an experienced electronics technician to join our growing company in the repair of printed circuit board assemblies and systems. You will be repairing and/or modifying customer returned product as well as troubleshooting and repairing system failures on the production floor.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair customer RMAs and manufacturing test failures
  • Test/calibrate electronic assemblies using test equipment and predefined procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair failed PCBAs
  • Assist with assembly of electronic components, subassemblies and systems
  • Maintain product serial number logs and revision control

Critical Knowledge And Skills:

  • Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
  • Experience reworking through hole and surface mount technology components
  • Ability to use standard bench test equipment (DMM, Scope, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems utilizing different versions of logic
  • Ability to perform many tasks simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities as needed
  • Basic understanding and use of simple databases

Education And Experience Requirements:

  • BSEE or equivalent training/experience
  • Certification from an Electronics Technical training organization preferred
  • J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 soldering certification preferred
  • 5 or more years’ experience as an electronic technician
  • Experience in documenting processes and procedures in an ISO-9001 environment
