Inventory Control/Mail Room Clerk

The inventory control clerk receives and counts items in inventory, and issues and receives material utilizing an ERP system. He/she unpacks and packs items, stocks them on the shelving systems and keeps stocked items organized with accurate counts. This person will also work in the mailroom, and is responsible for the on-time packaging and shipping of domestic and international customer orders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts cycle counts and maintains inventory accuracy utilizing ERP system
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies between system and physical counts
  • Fills, releases, and completes kits for the manufacturing floor
  • Checks items received against PO to ensure the shipment is accurate
  • Unpacks and organizes inventory in the stockroom using FIFO method
  • Participates in physical inventory exercises
  • Maintains a clean and organized stockroom
  • Receives, unpacks, and verifies quantity/part # information for all incoming material, performs inventory transactions within MAS200 the same day that material is received
  • Prepares daily orders for shipment
  • Verifies all sales orders that are shipping are complete and accurate
  • Provides COC and COO for shipments as needed
  • Provides shipping quotes to sales department
  • Assists the Assembly area as required
  • Responsible for purchasing office and janitorial supplies
  • Maintains purchase records of office and janitorial supplies
  • UEI point of contact with office and janitorial vendors

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining a stockroom utilizing ERP system(s)
  • Strong computer proficiency and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or GED required, 2-year degree preferred
  • Ability to unpack and pack items and stock shelving systems in a stockroom
  • Experience with UPS/FEDEX and other shipment methods
  • Able to process customer orders through a shipping manifest system
  • Very computer literate; has an intermediate level understanding of Excel
  • Works well in a small company environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail as accuracy is a must!
  • Ability to work with general supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

  • Bending, stooping, reaching
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

    CONTACTS:
