The DNA-STP-508 simplifies connections to the DNx-SL-508 serial I/O board/layer. All connections for each port are brought out to both screw terminals as well as DB9F "D" connectors. Each of the SL-508 serial ports is brought out to both a 9-pin female dSub connector and crew terminals. The STP-508 is connected through a DNA-CBL-62 series cables. The unit is shipped in an easy to mount DIN rail bracket, but may be removed and may be mounted on standoffs.
