Use this as the main DAU cabinet mounted in an equipment bay or cabinet underfloor / inside an electronics compartment, aggregating signals from across the car. Both are modular, rugged, and designed to host multiple I/O boards.
Distributed local DAU near doors, HVAC, or bogie area
Place as a small local node near subsystem clusters where shorter cable runs are helpful. The UEI BRICK4 chassis is compact, rugged, and supports over 90 I/O options.
The UEI DNx-AI-212 fits thermocouples, AI-222 fits RTDs/resistance temperature sensing, and our DNx-MF-102 Multifunction board can pick up mixed analog/digital fan or actuator status.
High-voltage electrical system
(voltage / current / insulation-related measurements)
Our MF-102 supports analog input ranges up to ±80 V with mixed I/O, while DMM-261 provides rugged DMM-style measurements including VDC, VAC, IDC, IAC, and resistance.
Pantograph / roof position equipment
DNx-AI-254 (If LVDT / RVDT position sensors are used)
The DNx-DIO-401 fits door limit/status inputs; DIO-463 adds monitored relay-style output control with voltage/current readback; MF-102 can consolidate mixed status/command signals
Passenger systems
(lighting, indicators, counters)
The DNx-DIO-403 fits high-density digital I/O for lighting and indication logic, DNx-DIO-401 fits isolated digital status inputs, and our MF-102 fits mixed analog/digital tasks.
Our DNx-CAN-503 fits CAN/ARINC-825 links; the DNx-SL-508 fits RS-232/422/485 serial devices; and all UEI chassis provide Ethernet-based aggregation to the supervisory network.
The DNx-MF-102 is useful for direct voltage/current-style analog monitoring and discrete states; our DNX-DMM-261 is useful where more meter-like electrical measurements are needed.
The DNx-AI-211 fits IEPE/ICP vibration sensors, DNx-AI-208 fits strain/load/force-style measurements, and DNx-AI-254 fits LVDT/RVDT displacement/position sensing if that transducer type is used.
Braking system
(pressure, wear, temperature, vibration)
The UEI DNx-AI-212/AI-222 fit temperature channels, the DNx-AI-211 fits vibration sensing, and DNx-MF-102 can collect analog/discrete signals from brake-related sensors or control states
Traction system
(motor current, temperature, inverter status)
The DNx-MF-102 fits mixed analog/discrete channels, DNx-AI-212 and AI-222 boards both fit temperature sensing, and our DNx-CAN-503 fits CAN-connected traction subsystem communications.
